At The Cognition Crew – A School Psychology Collaborative, we partner with schools to expand evaluation capacity and maintain timely, high-quality assessments. Our certified school psychologists bring extensive public school experience and a collaborative approach to every project. We’re here to support your team—not replace or represent it—by providing dependable, data-driven evaluations that help you serve students effectively.
We offer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to support public school districts that are experiencing high caseloads, staffing shortages, or a temporary need for additional evaluation capacity. Our goal is to help districts complete timely, high-quality assessments while maintaining consistency with district practices and timelines.
We also partner with private schools and boarding schools to provide timely evaluations for students who need updated documentation for academic accommodations, including 504 plans, learning support services, and individualized instructional planning. Our assessments help schools make informed decisions and ensure students receive the appropriate support to thrive.
All evaluations are conducted by certified school psychologists with extensive experience working in public school settings. Each member of our team is familiar with state and federal special education requirements, MTSS/RTI processes, and district/school-level evaluation practices.
Schools can contact us directly to discuss specific cases or general contract needs. Once a service agreement is in place, referrals can be made through a secure online portal or district contact. We coordinate testing schedules, communication, and delivering the written report in alignment with school's procedures.
We conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, including assessments of cognitive ability, academic achievement, gifted evaluations, transition evaluations, executive functioning, attention, adaptive skills, and social-emotional-behavioral functioning when appropriate. Evaluations may be completed for a variety of purposes, including eligibility determination, accommodation updates, outplacement planning, and transition program placement. Each assessment is carefully tailored to the referral question and aligned with district or school protocols.
All evaluations are completed in accordance with FERPA and IDEA guidelines. Data and reports are stored and shared securely through encrypted systems, and we follow each school's confidentiality protocols.
Turnaround time typically ranges from 4–6 weeks, depending on caseload and the complexity of the evaluation. We prioritize clear communication and meet mutually agreed-upon timelines for testing and reporting.
Our reports are written using clear, school-friendly language and align with eligibility determination criteria and best practices in school psychology. We provide practical, data-driven recommendations that schools can use for intervention planning and eligibility decision-making.
We view our relationship with schools as a professional partnership. We communicate with designated school contacts throughout the process, conduct evaluations in accordance with school procedures, and deliver results that integrate seamlessly into your team’s workflow.
District/school representatives can reach out to us via our school partnerships contact form or email to discuss contract options, availability, and service needs. We offer both short-term and ongoing arrangements depending on your school's goals.
